Irrespective of the shape of the product to be carried, these plastic component holders
can be molded to almost any desired shape, and represent a cost-effective
alternative to other forms of packaging. Our component holders are more than just
a medium in which products can be placed for safe transportation. They provide
a means of temporary storage and can be made available "just in time" for finishing.
Thermoformed component holders can be produced in sizes from 40 x 30mm to 2,100
x 1,200mm. Depending on the application, these items can be designed to allow stacking or alternate stacking. Horen component holders adhere to very strict standards and ensure an excellent fit.
Since our company offers an extensive range of plastic containers, we can also utilize
component holders as removable inserts for containers. In the event of a change
in the series, only the insert needs to be changed, not the entire packaging.
If the height of the components allows for space, inserts can also be stacked
on top of one another in the container.
Using a frame tool into which a suitably made base tool can be clamped, we can carry
out production of component holders with matching outer frames. Only the cavities
in the base are individually shaped for the product concerned. Frame tools
are available in the commonly used sizes of 400 x 300mm, 400 x 400mm, 600 x 400mm
and 800 x 600mm. Component holders from frame tools are employed not only as
a cost-saving measure but especially for use with robots, automatic pallet packing,
and assembly lines.
These component holders can be made to extremely fine tolerances and tailored to
the repeated accuracy of an automatic system, with fixing points, locating aids
and handling features for robots.
